On Saturday (November 11), Bruce called the office to let them know we still didn’t have parts for the brakes and asked if it would be possible for us to stay another week.
The RV Park manager called Bruce back, we could stay another week, but we would have to move on Tuesday to another site, site2.
Some folks traveling together had requested sites 5 and 6. Fortunately, site 2 is open until the end of November. I really open we don’t need it that long!
On Sunday, we heard from the tech that the brake part hadn’t been sent, so on Friday, he called MORryde and ordered the part from them. Jennifer said she’d ship the parts on Monday.
This morning (November 13), we packed up the rig to move it. It was a much work to move it 100 feet to the new site as it is to move the RV a hundred miles.
Bruce backed up the RV while I guided him. He backed past site 2 and then he was able to pull forward into site 2.
Unfortunately, the trees at the edge of the site 2 were low enough to scrape the rig. We trimmed some branches, backed up the rig and pulled forward.
To let out the rear slide, Bruce climbed on the RV roof and trimmed branches to allow the slide to come out without scraping it. He also trimmed branches that could scrape on the roof.
After we were set up in the new site, Bruce received a text from the tech. He had attached the email from Jennifer at MORryde. The parts were shipped and should be here on Wednesday.

While I was clearing away the branches, I noticed the middle tire (the one with the brake issue), was worn smooth in one spot. We don’t think the tire has been rolling due to the brake problem.
Bruce had looked for a worn spot before, but hadn’t seen one. He made the guess that the tire hadn’t rolled, so the smooth spot was on the bottom.
We will put on the spare tire and replace the existing tire with a new one.
We are grateful we could continue to stay in the campground. I just wish we could’ve stayed in the same site. Site 2 isn’t as long as sites 5 and 6. We also don’t have much in the way of a camping area. Site 2 works much better for a small travel trailer.
Hopefully, the parts will arrive tomorrow and we can get the brakes repaired then.
I am sure this is annoying, even if you can’t help it. I hope the part arrives on time this time and you can repair and move on with your travel. At least they still had a space for you, so I guess that is something for which to be grateful. Wishing you good fortune!

I am grateful they had a spot for us. Moving 100 feet without brakes is one thing, moving to the next RV park would be another story.
