On April 28, 2026, it rained so much over night we couldn’t really do anything outside. In the morning, with perfect timing, the Rural King tractor salesman called Bruce. Bruce had filled an out a form online asking Rural King to contact him about a tractor.
Bruce was exited to hear the local Rural King now had the tractor and accessories he wanted: RK25 tractor, a front loader, a backhoe, and a 40 inch tiller. We drove to Rural King and looked at the tractors. Bruce said, “This must be it.” since we found a RK25 with the front loader and backhoe attached.
After admiring the tractor for a bit, we went to the service desk and asked for the tractor salesman. They only have one person who does tractor sales. The salesman was happy to talk to Bruce. An amount was decided on. They didn’t want to take a personal check, so we went to get a cashiers check for the tractor and accessories purchase. The salesman had arranged for the delivery of the tractor to be approved on receiving the cashiers check. We returned and gave the salesman the check. We were told the tractor would be delivered either in the afternoon or in the morning the next day. Our pick. We picked same day since the price was the same.
Around 3:00 PM, the tractor arrived! The unloading process didn’t take very long. The tiller was manhandled off the platform by Bruce and the driver. The tractor was easy, it was put in reverse and driven off the platform.
After the delivery truck left, Bruce hopped on the tractor and started it up. He drove it straight to the pile of Bama Dirt Pro Mix. Time to try out the front loader!
After I watched Bruce scoop and empty the front loader, I looked at the peas.
We felt big raindrops and quickly headed inside. We got a lot more rain and wind.
It rained on and off the rest of the day.
During a break in the rain, I took a picture of the ginger and the alliums.
It was a very exciting day for us. I plan to try out the tractor sometime. Maybe I’ll race Bruce when he is speed mowing. (Chuckle)

Thank you! The Farmer Bruce is a joke. Bruce was on a call with his family and called himself that due to something one of them said.
