Picking Up the RV from the Riverstone Service Center at the Factory

September 9, 2023

On Friday (August 25), after getting a call that the RV was ready, we headed to the factory.

Arizona met up and he was happy to tell us that his team was able to fix everything we requested. They even replaced the dented curve piece on the roof. The branch that put the dent in had also made a scratch in the roof. Bruce had put self-leveling lap sealant on the scratch. Arizona’s team put a roof patch on it for us. They also added more sealant to some areas of the roof.

It turns out the top of the fridge had not been secured, so when we took that exit off I-10 in Texas, it broke the bottom bolts that secured the fridge. The service team secured the fridge correctly, so it should no longer slide around.

They replaced the tile by the fridge and at the cabinet that had inched backwards underneath the cabinet.

Looks Good as New

They replaced the kitchen slide seal that had come loose. I thought they were just going to reattach it.

The battery key disconnected works smoothly now. It is just an easy turn now.

Arizona said the Schwintek slides were level. He said we should use CRC Power Lube on them. They didn’t have any, so they didn’t lube the worm-like guides.

I wanted to know what we should use to caulk around the end cap. We have some space there and I was concerned about water damage. Arizona said it wasn’t really a problem to worry about due to how the inside was built. He gave a much longer explanation, but the take away was that we didn’t have to worry about it. He gave us three tubes of the proper sealant (28 G). He also gave us a roof patch kit.

Arizona handed Bruce the window arms so he could replace them. Bruce hates waste and feels he can repair the windows. We will see if it would have been better to get new windows, which is the normal factory repair. Riverstone no longer uses the windows that broke.

Riverstone took care of everything we asked them to take care of and they seemed happy to do the work.

Bob, Arizona, and the team that worked on the RV provided excellent service.

Yesterday, we received the invoice from Riverstone, listing everything that was done, with a zero price tag on each item.

While it was scary to have our home in for repairs, Riverstone made us feel like important customers and took care of us.

And no, we are not ambassadors for Riverstone, just regular customers. If Riverstone asked us to be ambassadors, I’d jump at the chance.
