Cucumber Chips, Organizer for Lids, and Mason Jar Sealer

August 31, 2026

On August 23, I spent the morning watering the gardens. A drip irrigation system would make it so much easier. At least I have a moisture sensor so I can tell if I’ve watered enough.

Bruce was excited to try the cucumber chips.

He had a hard time not eating all of them in one sitting.

I got a package from Amazon. It contained a shelf organizer for lids or plates and a Mason jar sealer.

Lid Organization

The organizer takes up the same amount of space as the lids did when sprawled out. I can see which lid I need and don’t have to move several lids to get to the right lid. I really like it.

I got a Mason jar sealer to help with storage.

Bruce made daikon refrigerator pickles. He used a couple of my snap-lid storage containers. I moved the radishes to a couple of pint jars. Bruce used apple cider vinegar to pickle the radishes, which is why the vinegar is so dark. The pint jars saved a lot of space in the fridge and I got my snap-lid containers back.
