The veterinarian was able to determine what Nox’s current problem is. Nox has pancreatitis.
Unfortunately, Nox’s blood work showed an incredible increase in numbers for her kidneys function. This is bad, very bad!
We are taking her to an overnight animal hospital to have drugs administered through an IV.
Tomorrow, we will pick her up and go back to Nox’s vet for more blood work.

Update:
We took Nox to the overnight veterinary clinic at 6:00 pm, just as they opened.
The doctor didn’t like the calcium numbers showing in Nox’s bloodwork. He said with those numbers it could be cancer in her annal glands or calcification. He did a rectal exam on Nox (and she was most unhappy) and told us everything was fine.
We put a DNR on her paperwork. I felt sick as I told Bruce, if it is her time, we should let her go in peace. It is so hard to be a responsible pet parent sometimes.
Oh, the poor baby 💕

It is. Nox has separation anxiety when left in a new location.

Poor Murphy. I don’t think dogs with separation anxiety ever get over it.
Thanks for the hugs! We need them.

Oh no, not Reiko’s DogSis. I was hesitating to comment on earlier posts because I was so hoping the vet visit would say something was mildly off and could be fixed easily. Pancreatitis is serious tuff so I am glad to opted for the hospitalization route and intravenous and pain meds if needed. As an older girl (sorry Nox) she is more fragile but I hear that pancreatitis caught early can be overcome. We’re thinking of you, Julia and Bruce (I know you guys are super stressed on this!) and Miss Nox. Fingers and toes crossed.

We were hoping the same. This is very scary for Bruce and me. We are going to do our best for Nox.
