On August 27, Bruce had hoped the jury selection would be completed by the end of the previous day. It wasn’t, so he had to go back to the courthouse in the early morning. The number of the jury pool was smaller, but it was still a large pool.
I went out to the vegetable garden and caught as many as I could of the leaf-legged bugs. (I hates them.) I found several mating pairs on two beautiful tomatoes. I grabbed as many leaf-legged bugs as I could and dropped them into the jar of death, mwahaha!
I looked around the garden and enjoyed the bees and butterflies. We don’t get many domesticated bees (European honey bees) here. Instead, we get many different types of pollinators, wasps, flies, random butterflies, and many different types of wild bees. After living here for a while, I find I prefer a natural system that helps save the wild pollinators.
You can get an idea of how small the bumblebee is by seeing the grass next to it.
I enjoy seeing how pretty the caper is.
After the cucumber tornadoes yesterday, I decided to do something that was relaxing.
I made a chili ristra out of hot chili peppers. I’ve got more peppers, so I’ll be adding them later.
I discovered I wasn’t making the ristra correctly. Still, it looks pretty good.
I tried to take a picture of a butterfly on the back door. This is what I got.
Bruce came home with the news that he would have to go back the next day and still be in the jury pool fort at least one more day.
The sunset was lovely day.
