When we stopped at the Jekyll Island Welcome Center, they were selling Loretta Eby’s glass floats for 20% off since she was closing her studio. She decided to retire. We wound up buying three of her glass floats.
Here is the card that is included with them.

Here are the three glass floats. Unboxing float number one!

Unboxing glass float number two!

Unboxing glass float number three!

Nox came to see what I was doing. I wasn’t fast enough to get her picture when she sniffed the glass floats. Nox decided they weren’t something she was interested in and wandered off.

The glass floats are beautiful! Where will you display them?

I plan to get a live-edge floating shelf and put it under “Autumn Wind”. I will put some of our oil lamp collection and the glass floats on it.

I thought sure you were going to build a koi pond and put them in there! Actually, the one with the gold colored streaks reminds me of koi. I like that one best, but they are all lovely.

I, too, am partial to Float #3. It’s like a tiny little Earth. Can’t wait to see them all on display!

These are beautiful, Julia! I wonder which one was your first choice! My favorite is the right – the one that is just shades of blue and white. They are all beautiful though!

Nox is thinking, “They’re not edible; what’s the point?!?”
