On Sunday (March 16), as we walked around the back pasture checking for damage, we saw Nox over by the raised garden beds. Bruce saw her first. Nox was standing on her hind feet trying to see into the tall raised garden beds.
We laughed about it and continued our walk back towards the yard.
Nox walked over to the short raised garden beds. We saw her trip and fall over. Being very concerned, we rushed over as she got up and continued her walk.
Nox had gotten tangled up in the gate I plan to use as a trellis to support the small watermelons. It is currently lying in the grass.
Nox walked up the pile of dirt next to the garden bed and looked into the garden. Then she leaped right into the garden bed!
Bruce and I were laughing as Bruce grabbed her and put her on the ground. He stopped laughing long enough to tell her no. Our biggest concern is Nox getting into the garden bed and getting stuck for a bit. She no longer wants to jump down because jumping down hurts. If she does this while I’ve got plants growing, she might eat something that would make her sick.
I never dreamed she’d jump into the garden beds. I believe she was curious about what I was doing with the garden beds. She sees me sitting beside the short beds planting things and leaning over the tall beds planting things.

With Geordie I found it worked to lift him up so he could see what I was doing, he was satisfied and didn’t bother me again. Hope Nox’s curiosity is satisfied!

Thanks for the tip. She seemed to be satisfied in seeing what was in the beds. I’ll see if Nox checks out the garden beds again. If she does, I’ll pick her up so she can see what I am doing. She has been very good at coming up to me, getting petted and then lying down in the shade of the pump house.
