This morning, we got up at 8:00 AM and quickly got the RV packed up. Since we hadn’t unhitched the RV from the truck, it went quickly.
We drove the 15 miles to the New Horizons Service Facility. We arrived right at 9:00 AM. I was impressed with our timing.
We got there and pulled in to the parking lot. Bruce got out of the truck and went to speak to the service manager. We were good to leave the RV where it was; we just needed to unhitch it.
We put the front landing gear down and unhitched the truck and RV. Bruce drove the truck to customer parking while I walked to the office.
We both went inside. The nice lady at the front asked if we wanted to wait in the lounge. Bruce said, we have our dog with us, so we can’t. The lady said, we are pet friendly. Bruce said, we’ll wait in the lounge. (There was some other conversation about when and how we’d deal with her after service.)
We went and got Nox and went into the lounge. Poor Nox! She started shivering like she does at the vet. It took Nox a bit to decide we weren’t at the vet. I took her for a walk around and she decided that all was good.
This is Nox right now.

Here are some pictures of the lounge.

I snapped a picture of the front of the factory when I took Nox outside for a walk.

The Service Center is a separate smaller building to the right. I didn’t take a picture of our RV waiting to be seen. They moved it quickly and put it behind a closed bay door. I am sure they are trying to keep cool. It is already 89 degrees F outside with a predicted high of 102 degrees F.
Looks like their waiting area is set up for napping humans, as well as napping dogs!

It is! It is a very restful waiting area. I am so glad we have a place to stay cool with Nox. I had thought we might go hiking near the Republican River in hopes it would be cooler.

Maybe if you were IN the river? Not much relief from heat out there! (Although up here at altitude, with glaciers in every direction, it’s perfect most of the time.)

It’s going to take me a while to catch up on the blog, but eventually you will see photos of glaciers.

I look forward to seeing them!
I was unimpressed when I saw St. Mary’s Glacier in Colorado. I know the glaciers in Alaska are big and impressive, so that imagine was in my brain. St. Mary’s Glacier looked more like a snow field to me.

I think Nox needs some extra lovin’ today. Poor baby.

Now that she’s decided it isn’t the vet’s office, she has been wondering around with one of us attached to her leash. She is meeting people and having a grand time. Then, when she gets tired, she gets a lift back to the lounge to rest. She was sleeping earlier and snoring away!
