Second Day of Travel to Get to Golden, Colorado

June 5, 2024

We got up and packed up the rig at Holiday Travel Park of Chattanooga. We headed back to I-75 N and once on I-75 N, we quickly got onto I-24 W at Exit 2.

We dipped back down into Georgia.

The Tennessee River was beautiful as we came back into Tennessee.

We drove through Nashville, Tennessee and then into Kentucky.

We continued on I-24 W to I-57 N towards St. Louis. We got off of I-57 N and took I-64 to St. Louis. At St. Louis, we took I-255 N to I-270 W.

Bruce was ready to call it a night, so I found a place to stay, St. Peters’ 370 Lakeside Park.

From I-270, we turned onto Missouri 370.

As we turned off Missouri 370 onto the road to the park, the people in the car next to us waved at us and signaled us to go ahead. We went ahead and discussed why they did that. Bruce noticed they were following us.

When we got to the office, the people in the car pulled up behind us. The driver got out and let us know that our rear tire on the passenger side was bouncing up and down. We thanked him several times. He was kind enough to go out of his way to let us know we had a problem.

Bruce looked under the RV, but didn’t see anything. All I could think was, not again. We had problems with a bouncing tire before.

We signed in at the office, got parked, set up and took Nox for a walk.

Bruce made friends with the neighbors while I made supper.

After 483 miles, it was great to stop at this beautiful park.

    1. Bruce doesn’t like doing them with the RV. I don’t really like doing them either since I have to be alert and navigate. I can’t just go to sleep or do other things.
