I am trying to do more walking, but at the same time, I’m still taking it easy by making sure I walk on flat surfaces.
Bruce is doing his best to help. He asked if I wanted to go to the pier. I thought about it, and told Bruce, I was willing , but he might need to get the truck if I couldn’t make it.
Bruce laughed and said, “I planned to drive you to the pier, so you could walk around there.”
Well, that was a way better idea! We harnessed Nox into the truck and Bruce drove us to the pier.

The pier area is just as beautiful as I remembered. There were a few American persimmon trees with ripe persimmons that we picked and carried home.
Nox enjoyed the walk and doing Nox things. She was happy to look over the water, but not get to close to it.

Bruce takes good care of you!

What are you doing with the persimmons? They don’t grow in Vermont, and the only thing I’ve ever done with them was a steamed pudding, when I still had family with a persimmon tree in Maryland.

We are just eating them. They are rather seedy, but they are very sweet.

Gorgeous! And those pecan trees! If I want to make pecan pie I always need to get them from Amazon. As far as nuts go, I know Italy grows walnuts, hazelnuts, and almonds. There’s not a lot of people I know that actually have a nut tree though. Fruit trees are the popular choice.

In the South, we often have pecan trees. They are gorgeous trees and provide nuts.

Very pretty there! Our dog does not like the water either. She can swim if necessary, but she does not want to.

Nox can swim, but she doesn’t really want to either. She finds the beach on the ocean particularly scary as the water tries to get her!

We think Nox is just adorable, but we may be just a tad prejudiced. Thanks, I am relieved my ankle is getting better as well.

I’m no doctor, but I think it is good for the ankle to get out and walk a little bit. Glad to see Bruce was applying a little pier pressure on you.

The doctor did tell me to get out and walk, but let my ankle tell me if I was overdoing it. I thought a two mile walk would be to much. I am planning to give it a try tomorrow and see how it goes. We went for a short hike yesterday and it was okay.
