Our Next Big Project, the Driveway

Tomorrow, we are having our driveway repaired. The big flood we had on March 15 of this year caused a lot of gravel to wash off the bottom of the driveway aka the section by the road. We also have gravel from the driveway at the top of the hill washing away after each gullywasher.

Here’s the condition of the driveway today.

The area at the top of the hill gets worse after each big rainstorm. With the driveway getting worse after each rainstorm, we decided we needed to get the driveway repaired. It is a mess.

We had a driveway specialist come out from Bama Dirt on July 1st and give us a quote.

    •    Payments made by debit/credit cards will have an additional 3% convenience fee added to the project total.

They are going to remove the grass in the middle of the driveway with the skid steer.

They are coming at 7:00 am tomorrow and will be here all day.

    1. Not necessary. Heavy rains can wash underneath a paved driveway and wash it out. Also, for a driveway as long as ours, it is serious money, way more than we want to spend.
