Finishing Cleaning the Interior of the RV

March 12, 2025

This morning, we got up and loaded the three RV chairs we bought home from Colorado into the truck. Bruce also put some tools in the truck. He wanted to determine why my side of the theater seating in the RV wasn’t working.

We stopped and ate breakfast at Millie’s Place before heading the rest of the way to the RV.

Once at the RV, Bruce hooked up the water. I cleaned drawers and the bathroom while Bruce worked on determining why my theater seat wasn’t working. It was the switch. Bruce ordered a new one from Amazon.

I cleared off the kitchen counters and we loaded the cleaning supplies into the truck.

We headed home after I took pictures of the kitchen.

It is a great kitchen! The layout was very well designed. I really enjoyed cooking in it.

Once home, we walked around the yard with Nox.

Around 2:30 PM, I decided to start putting together the new medicine cabinet. Bruce had me look at the instructions (It was a picture book, since there was no text.) while he got the tools the instructions showed pictured.

While it wasn’t hard to assemble, there was way more to do than I thought there would be.

It took almost three hours to get the medicine cabinet put together, hung and connected to the electric switch. We aren’t done with the project yet, as we still have an open electrical box that needs to be covered properly. The hole in the wallboard cut for the old over the sink lights, needs to be patched.

After supper, we opened up the box containing our DeRubeis art.

It was just so amazing to see it again. Unfortunately, I found a scratch on one of the panels of my favorite piece. I originally thought it was something on it, but it turned out to be a scratch.

I couldn’t believe it. We’ll have to contact DeRubeis to see if there is any way it can be repaired. I felt sick. I don’t know how it happened. Each panel was individually wrapped in the box. Maybe when we took it down, it got damaged then?

We plan to hang up our DeRubeis art tomorrow.

We had a gorgeous sunset today.

Tonight, we had a very thin cloud cover. When we walked Nox, Bruce noticed a very large ring around the moon. I wish I had been able to take a picture because it was beautiful and unusual.

  1. You sound like a happy kid when you unpack and see your treasures from before you became a full time RVer. I’m sorry about your art piece; perhaps it can be repaired. You also sound like you are really settling in and enjoying your new home. Will be you traveling again in your RV?

    1. I feel like a kid a Christmas opening presents! I am also hopeful it can be repaired.

We will be selling our RV and truck. We’ve been doing work on and off to get it ready to sell. We will travel again but aren’t sure yet if it will be in an RV. I want to get a tear drop, but Bruce has some other ideas.
