Rotating RV Tires

Last week, Bruce rotated the tire on the utility side of the RV. He moved the front tire to the middle position, the former middle tire to the rear position and the rear tire to the front position. While he had the tires off, he inspected the suspension and brake lines. All looked good.

On Monday or this week, he did the same for the camping side. The lug nuts were tightened down more than they should’ve been. The torch wrench Bruce was using broke, causing him to knock his face into the side of the RV and breaking his glasses. Fortunately, he had a spare pair of glasses. He also has a bruised on his cheek from the impact.

After coming in and telling me about his broken glasses and letting me see his face, he went back and finished the job. He rotated the fires the same way as the utility side.

We (I went out and helped) did find the middle tire on the camping side had some wear on the inside of the tire. The mobile tech in South Carolina had noticed the wear then. The mobile tech thought it wasn’t a problem and we still had a lot of miles left on the tire.

Bruce was happy to have completed that job.

    2. Let me try again. I am sorry about what happened but my first instinct was to laugh. These things happen to Jon all the time, resulting in bruises up and down his legs and once an Achilles tear that took a year to heal. Be careful out there. It’s dangerous.
