Nox really loves her heartworm medicine. It is a special treat to her and the way she got so excited was just so cute I had to share.

I wish my dogs liked theirs! I have to hide them in peanut butter to get them to eat it!

Oh, that is to bad that they don’t like theirs. I am always surprised how much dogs love peanut butter.

Vinnie and Juneau get in liquid form on top of their food. I don’t think they even know it. 🙂

I didn’t know a liquid form of the medicine was made. It is good you don’t have a hard time giving them their medicine. Give them a pat for me!

We discovered it a long time ago, when we were volunteering for the Colorado Saint Bernard Rescue. It is Ivermectin, and it is used for the bigger animals, like horses and cows, but we also use it for the big dogs too. It’s hard to come by right now though. Not all vets have it or use it.
