Leftover Hot Crab Dip Usages

I made a hot crab dip to use up the lump crab meat, sour cream, and cream cheese from Thanksgiving. Cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, grated onion, Zatarain’s Shrimp & Crab Boil, dash of liquid smoke, and smoked paprika were also used in the Hot Crab Dip. I sliced some of the leftover dinner rolls and toasted them to spread the crab dip on. It was yummy!

We couldn’t eat all the crab dip at once, so we had leftover crab dip. Oh, what to do with the delicious crab dip? I put it in the fridge to use another day.

The next morning, I used it as the stuffing in an omelette for Bruce. He proclaimed it was delicious.

I made a grilled sandwich with it for lunch. The cheese melted and was oozing. It was delicious.

I used it it make quesadillas. Oh my, they were so tasty!

Bruce also put some of the cold dip on crackers. He happily ate it as a snack. He had to tell himself to stop eating it, as he wanted to continue to eat more than he should.

So, if you have a leftover hot crab dip, I hope these ideas give you a starting point for your own kitchen experiments.

    1. It has been fun to turn the crab dip into different uses. Eating it as a dip was delicious, then making use of it as an ingredient turned out great. I could see doing the same with hot artichoke dip as well.
