A couple of weeks ago, I was going to cook boudin sausage using the convection oven part of the convection microwave oven.
I turned on the convection oven to preheat and I noticed an electrical burning smell. I told Bruce that the convection oven had a bad smell. He didn’t seem to bothered until he got a whiff of the smell.
He immediately turned off the oven and then did some checking to see is he could spot anything. Microwave ovens are very dangerous to repair, so Bruce isn’t even going to attempt to repair it.
Of course, the convection microwave oven is out of warranty now, other than the microwave part, which works.
While I am glad the microwave part still works, I had gotten used to the convection oven. It did not heat up the kitchen like the regular oven does. I miss having it and want it either repaired or replaced.

Sorry to hear your convection oven is kaput. We’ve never had one, just a standard microwave. Baking without heating the inside of the camper sounds wonderful. Hope you get a new one soon.

It made a huge difference and it cooked food faster as well. Thanks, I am guessing it will have to wait until after the August FROG Rally, since we need to be settled for a bit.
