Taking Nox for a Walk in Poverty Point State Park, LA

June 15, 2022

Our campsite is one campsite away from a sidewalk trail. This trail has been mowed on both sides and has nice grass. This sidewalk trail goes through some dense brush.

Here are some pictures I took while walking Nox.

Nox is very happy with the grass beside the sidewalk trail. It doesn’t contain burs in it. Nox has developed a distrust of grass since so many of the places we have stayed have burs hiding in the grass, just waiting to attack.

Nox enjoyed her walk and had a great time smelling all the new smells.

  1. No burs in St. Augustine! I think they are against the law in LA and MS after they passed the “Nox Act.” Seriously, I did think about burs first off after all the ordeals she has had. Now you know why the old Texas saying was “you got a bur under your saddle?”

    1. Hahaha! I love the “Nox Act.” All the burs in Texas sure do explain that Texas saying! I am so relieved that I don’t have to worry about Nox finding burs to hurt her little paws.
