First RV Accessories

I am glad I have been watch RV channels on YouTube and reading RV blogs. If not, I would have been surprised by the number of additional accessories the RV needs.

What came with the RV:

• LCI Waste Management System (20 foot sewer hose system)
• 50 amp power cord (I am not sure how long the power cord is. I am guessing 20 to 25 feet.)

What we’ve bought since:

• Bedding (Our RV came with an Olympic queen bed, so we had to get new bedding.)

  • Midland 50 Channel Waterproof GMRS Two-Way Radio – Long Range Walkie Talkie (We bought these before we bought the RV back to Colorado. We used them on the trip home.)
  • Midland 50 Channel Waterproof GMRS Two-Way Radio – Long Range Walkie Talkie (This case holds the Walkie Talkies and keeps them organized and safe.)
• EAZ LIFT TPE 12″ Premium Fifth Wheel Lube Plate Red w/PTFE (This would have been nice to have when we picked up the RV.)
• Electricity
  • 50A Surge Guard Portable Total Electrical Protection, with a wireless display monitor and a cable lock (Which came in very handy. I will tell the story of the bad pedestal in a different post.)
  • 30A Male To 50A Female Adapter
• Extreme Max 5001.5010 Standard Motorcycle Wheel Chock – Black (This is for Bruce’s motorcycle to safely travel in the garage.)
• Kurgo Tru-Fit Enhanced Strength Dog Harness (This is for Nox, so she can travel in the back seat and not have to be in her taxi.)
• RoadPro RPKPSL-2 Heavy Duty Steel King Pin Lock (This is to provide some protection from the RV being stolen.)
• Sewer
  • Camco 20 Ft (43051) Sidewinder RV Sewer Hose Support (Keeps the sewer hose off the ground.)
  • 25 foot hose for flushing the black tank
  • HAPPY CAMPERS Organic RV Holding Tank Treatment (This seems to be the most recommended treatment for the black tank.)
• Water
  • 25 foot Zero G RV hose for drinking water
  • Valterra Water Regulator, Lead-Free Brass Adjustable Water Regulator with Pressure Gauge for Camper, Trailer, RV Plumbing System
  • Camco 40043 TastePure RV/Marine Water Filter with Flexible Hose Protector 
• Weld-On 80427 Slik Seal Plumbers Grease (This is to protect the seal in the bottom of the toilet.)
• Ultra-Fab Super Grip Chock, with EZ Ratchet and padlock to deter theft
