Bruce has been going through each room downstairs and putting the items in the room on a list. Once he has the items in the room on the list, after I get off work, he askes me what I think about taking, storing, or disposing of the items on the list. If he agrees with me, he just puts a tick mark in the column. If he doesn’t agree, we have a conversation about it.
At this point, we just have our bedroom and closets to go through!
We are also talking about what we can get rid of now. We don’t want to wait to get rid of stuff as we are trying to vacate the house after it sells.

Sometime the hard part is deciding to part with something. Other times you know you don’t want or need something, but it is not easy to figure how to get rid of it assuming you do not want it to go in the landfill.

You are right, it is hard to figure out where these items should go. Most things, we have don’t feel like they should go into into a landfill. There are things we feel we can get some money for and are going to try and sell. Others items, we have determined that we should just donate. Some things, we are just going to put at the end of the driveway with a free sign on them. If they don’t get taken away, then we are going to donate them.
