Eye Doctor Visit, Moving the RV and Salad from the Garden

April 22, 2025

Yesterday (April 21), I had an appointment with the eye doctor. The cataract in my right eye has gotten worse. I decided to bite the bullet and get cataract surgery scheduled.

After my appointment, we went to the Florence AL RV Park and moved the RV. We were both so glad we had our checklists. Since we didn’t have all the things to put away, getting the inside was very quick and easy.

It rained on us while we were getting hitched up and backing the RV into place. Not being able to see well due to dilated eyes and trying to direct Bruce was very stressful.

I was glad to be done and to head home.

We had leftover spaghetti for lunch.

After my eyes returned to normal, we walked around checking on our fruit trees. The wild blackberries have lots of blooms.

The honeysuckle is blooming.

On the way back to the house, I harvested some radishes.

For supper, we just had the fresh garden greens and radishes as a lovely salad.

It was wonderful having our first meal from the garden!

  1. It is exciting to get the first salad from something you have planted! I hope your cataract surgery goes well and that you take good care of yourself while recovering. I have begun to see the honeysuckle here also, but nothing has bloomed yet.
