On Friday (April 18), while I was busy cooking, Bruce gave Nox her summer trim. Nox was wondering around doing Nox things in the backyard. One of the Nox things was checking out the grill since I moved it to cook the pork chops.

On Saturday (April 19), Bruce and I planted the Starkspur(R) Arkansas Black Apple, the Saturn peach tree, two pink lemonade blueberry bushes, the miniature peach and nectarine and six raspberry bushes.
We planted the two miniature fruit trees by the blueberry bushes circle to act as a gate.
We took breaks between all the hole digging and planting to rehydrate and recover from the work.

The peaches had some flower buds. I sadly removed them. I want them to put all their energy into growing their root system this year.
Break time! Here are some pictures of Nox, taking a break from doing Nox things, with us.

I got a bit overheated, so I needed to rest and recover for a bit. Bruce made spaghetti and meat sauce for dinner.
It was delicious and very satisfying; a nice meal to end a very productive day.

Murphy – Dad cut off my top coat so I wouldn’t get too hot. 🥵 It’s already getting into the 80’s here. Will your mom have your fur trimmed? – Nox

She sneaked up on me while I was sleeping and trimmed some of my longer fur. She said we’ll see what it’s like this summer before she does more. (I don’t have layers coats like my Cairn brothers.)

Wow! Your mom is sneaky. I have a layers coat like your Cairn brothers. Dad gave me a treat to made up for all the noise of the trimmer. He kept telling me I was a good girl. Dad gave me a bath after trimming my fur. I don’t care for baths, but Dad gives me a treat after them.
