I was rather lazy today. One of the things I did do was call into my book club meeting. It was great to see my Colorado friends’ faces and hear their voices.
I hadn’t been able to join the meetings in a while. I would find myself busy doing something I couldn’t easily stop. I really need to do better so I can keep up with my friends.
After the WebEx book club meeting, I called a good friend in Colorado and talked to him for a while. I took him on a virtual tour of the property. He enjoyed it as he is a very serious gardener. He has an absolutely lovely yard and garden, with gorgeous flowers gardens with vegetables tucked in here or there.
He got invited to come out and visit us.
I watched a rather silly feel good movie.
Bruce sent a text that the moon and Jupiter were in conjunction. It was rather cloudy tonight, with a fast wind blowing the clouds past the moon and Jupiter. Mars was also playing peek-a-boo through the clouds.

What book was featured in your club meeting?

It was “The Utterly Uninteresting and Unadventurous Tales of Fred, the Vampire Accountant” by Drew Hays. It is a silly book and a lot of fun. It is a science fiction and fantasy book club, though we occasionally wonder into other types of books. “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” is on our list.

It is a fun light read, with lots of silliness. If you enjoy it, the rest of the books in the series are just as fun.

I was sitting out this evening, burning a few more limbs from clean up, and looking up at the night sky and thinking about you while I was watching the clouds move past the moon. It was so pleasant and beautiful I did not want to come in.

It was very peaceful and relaxing. Nox and I sat outside on the patio for a bit.

Wow – it’s one of the things I miss most about city life: it’s hard to get good sky views… looking forward to my next trip down the coast so I can soak in all those clouds and stars! Linda xx

I love being able to see the stars, moon and planets. I have to agree, it is even more special to see them by the ocean.
