Loose Piece of Tin on Shed Roof

December 28, 2024

With all the rain, some wind blew past as well. Thursday night, Nox was making a racket, whining and crying, so Bruce got up to see if she needed to go out. Lucky me, I slept through the racket.

Bruce took Nox outside and she did need to go out. Bruce said he heard a banging noise and followed it to one of our sheds. A piece of tin has come loose on the roof so when the wind blows, it lifts the tin up. The tin piece then falls down and makes a loud banging noise.

On Friday, during a break in the rain, we walked back to the shed. Bruce wanted to show me the loose piece. Without the wind picking it up, the tin looked perfectly normal.

Shed with Loose Tin

We’ll (Bruce) will screw down the loose piece of tin on the roof. We don’t want it banging around and coming loose.

We’ve got a thunderstorm happening right now. I hope the tin will last until we can safely screw it down. I am glad we don’t have animals we have to worry about.

    1. I thought about you as we weathered a thunderstorm last night. I hope you made it through without anything bad happening.

I am so happy we got our new roof before all this rain and wind!
