Cows and Donkeys Next Door

October 29, 2024

Bruce was out mowing the back pasture yesterday when our neighbors’ cows and donkeys were close to our fence.

At the same time, I

was outside weeding one of the flowerbeds that came with the house. Nox was just hanging out with me.

Who knows what beauty lurks in this old garden?

The flowerbed has daylilies and what I believe to be amaryllis. The amaryllis bulbs look crowded to me. Who knows what might come up in the spring? I wanted to get the grass out of the flower bed.

Bruce came rolling up on the mower to take Nox to see the cows and donkeys. Nox was utterly fascinated by the lawn mower and was excited to see Bruce approaching on it.

Nox had a grand time riding with Bruce and seeing the cows and donkeys.

She enjoyed the ride to the barn when Bruce put away the mower.

I did finish pulling the grass out of the flowerbed. Hand tools aren’t going to work on getting the trumpet vine out.
