Nox loves to look around the edge of the steps into the kitchen when Bruce is doing something in the kitchen.

When she is feeling good, she loves to climb up the ridge and stop along the way to sniff the area.

Nox can no longer walk the entire trail, so she ends up being carried. We let her walk until she asks for a pickup.
Once home she’ll try to put thoughts in our heads by staring at us. We know those thoughts have to do with treats.

😆😆😆. Even Murphy is good at those stares!
It’s a good thing Nox enjoys exploring new places. Two of my pups turned out to be homebodies and would balk at the unfamiliar.

Nox does love exploring new places. New smells are always welcome to her. She enjoyed meeting goats, horses, cows, sheep, and especially chickens. She also loves to meet other dogs.

Does she bark at livestock?

No, she goes up to the fence and sniffs at them. Sometimes, the livestock will come up to her to check her out, other times, the livestock will move away when she gets close to the fence. We never let her on the side of the fence with the livestock.

Geordie saw everything as prey, no matter how big it was. I used to have to keep him away from larger animals so his insane shrieks didn’t cause a stampede. 😆

We had herding dogs when I was a kid. They loved to chase and herd the cows.

At least they just herded and didn’t try to eat! 😆

That stare looks persuasive!

It is! When she stares at us like that, we know she wants something. We ask her and when we get to what she wants, she gets excited.

I recognize the look; our dogs are similarly equipped!
