Butterfly Habitat Garden at Claystone Park on Lake Tobesofkee in Georgia

May 31, 2024

We enjoyed walking in Claystone Park. The trails are well kept. We decided to go see the butterfly habitat near the entrance of the park.

There was a volunteer working on the garden. She mentioned that not many butterflies were out due to the weather.

Since there was a sign saying dogs weren’t allowed, we asked her if we could still enter the garden with Nox in the backpack. She said it was fine since Nox wouldn’t have a chance to poop in the garden. The volunteers don’t like finding dog poop while weeding. I feel the same way!

It might be interesting to travel the Rosalynn Cater Butterfly Trail sometime. I didn’t realize it existed until I saw this sign.

We enjoyed looking at the flowers and we did spot a Silver-spotted Skipper.

It made for a pleasant walk.

    1. We are! I got behind on my blog due to not feeling well and for being very busy when we reached Jekyll Island. I am trying to catch up on my blog now.
