We packed up and headed about 20 miles east to Shipshewana, Indiana. We wanted a campground near the Riverstone Factory in Topeka so we could get our RV into the factory by 9:00 am on Thursday, August 24.
Bruce had checked with the Elkhart County 4-H Fairgrounds to see if we could stay until Thursday, but another rally was coming in. We could’ve stayed until Monday, but since we needed to move, we found a RV park in Shipshewana. There are three RV parks in Shipshewana and based on price and reviews, we picked the Shipshewana RV Park and RV Service Center.
Nox settled into the truck and when we arrived, she seemed surprised that she only got a short ride in the truck.

The RV park is next to the Shipshewana Flea Market. While the trees were small or nonexistent, the sites were buddy sites with very nice grass. There were two picnic tables on the camping side.
The parking site for the RV was a long gravel pull through. It was fairly level side to side with some slope front to back. The pedestals were the newer style and we had full-hookups.

Once we were settled in, we took a walk around the RV park. We over to the fence separating the RV park from the flea market. We walked over the bridge to the flea market. The flea market was closed, as it is only open on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Several of our neighbors in this park were very friendly. We enjoyed meeting them and hanging out with them. They were very interested in seeing our RV. We did a couple of tours of the RV. We even got asked if we were Riverstone ambassadors.
Nox enjoyed meeting people and their dogs. Nox was really more interested in the dogs than the people. Nox enjoyed greeting other dogs by touching noses and then tail sniffing.
This RV park has a lot within walking distance. Across the road from the RV park was Mom’s Ice Cream stand. Oh, such good ice cream! The Menno-Hof is across the major road, Indiana 5. You can safely cross at the light. Yoder’s Meat & Cheese is in front of the flea market (such good sausage!). If you are interested in quilting, there are two great stores in the Yoder Department Store. We both enjoyed Yoder’s Shipshewana Hardware Store. (Free popcorn!) We walked to the Blue Gate Restaurant and Bakery for dinner one night.
I love staying in an RV park were I can easily and safely walk to places.
We got a beautiful sunsets at this RV park.

I love that first photo of Nox! Good there is a lot to see or do close by, too.

Nox woke up and seemed to be really surprised that we were already stopping. She still had some bedface.

She actually reminded me of the little troll dolls, but I did not want to hurt her feelings! She is so cute, bedface and all!

Haha! She does! We think she is just so cute. When she is in her backpack, she gets so much attention.

We had these things the factory took care of.
In order of importance
1. Roof Problem
2. Battery Disconnect Key
3. Refrigerator movement – sliding side to side
4. Tile by fridge cane up
5. Seal hanging out on utilities side kitchen slide
6. Window arms

Yes, the factory service is great and they did it all for free! Going to the FROG Rally is so fun and then getting free service is awesome!

Yes, I have been very impressed by Riverstone. The other brands of Forest River owners at the rally seemed to be pleased with their RVs as well.
