On July 17th (Monday), there was a lovely sunset through the trees. The storm had already started rolling in. You can see the clouds in the picture below.
A short time later storm clouds rolled in.
A low constant boom or growl started up as lightning strikes went from clouds to clouds. The pictures below are before and during shots of clouds, before the lightning and during the lightning strike.
We didnāt stay out long since the biting insects had also appeared and started biting.

Was there any major damage? Here in the region of Lombardy there was a thunderstorm early Monday morning. We were spared serious damage but elsewhere it was truly devastating.

The thunderstorm a couple of nights before was bad. Lightning brought down a tree. A very large branch fell on an RV and the porch next to it, destroying both.
