While we stayed at Hickory Grove Campground and RV Park, Nox discovered a new love.
Our new friends Jerry and Connie took us around the campground in their golf cart. Nox came with us and had a blast. This was the first time she rode in a golf cart. we had multiple bids tell us that small nap specialist surgeries She loved the breeze and getting to see and smell things as we rode past. Nox didn’t have to take a single step.
One evening we were returning to the RV after walking Nox when Larry “the Biscuit Man” stopped by in his golf cart. Larry works at Hickory Grove Campground. He had already made friends with Nox by giving her a milk bone earlier.
Nox was thrilled to see him and tried to climb into the golf cart. She is having trouble with her right shoulder and can’t jump up onto things the way she could.
Larry gave her a milk bone and then cemented Nox’s love for him by taking her on a ride in his golf cart. Nox sat in the passenger seat while Larry held her harness. Nox was so happy! We watched as Larry made a short slow loop from our site on the loop road and then back to our site. Nox sat up straight and laughed all the way around. Larry was tickled as well.
I thanked Larry and took Nox back. Larry joked that we needed to get rid of the motorcycle and replace it with a golf cart for Nox.
While I think Nox would love having trips in a golf cart, it isn’t for us. We may rent a golf cart at another RV a park and take Nox for a ride since she loves it so much.
We mostly use the motorcycle to get around. The truck is expensive to operate, so we use it mostly for towing and when we need to carry Nox with us. We use the motorcycle to go shopping and sightseeing. I can’t take pictures while riding the motorcycle, like I can when riding in the truck.

It is always a trade off, isn’t it? But that is the fun of being human, that we can choose to do things for our amigos animales and also things for ourselves while making sure they are taken care of also.

It is. Knowing Nox loves riding in a golf cart means we’ll rent one for her (and us).

Nox watches for golf carts now. When she see a car’s headlights. She stops and watches until she is sure it isn’t a golf cart and then she proceeds on her walk.

Precious! Are there any small dog carriers for motorcycles? She might enjoy it.

Bruce has thought about a side bag for Nox, but decided against it. She would have to wear goggles to protect her eyes and she hates anything around her face.

Our little dog loved riding in a boat. I bet she would have liked a golf cart too. Maybe you need a side car on the motorcycle for Nox!!

I can picture a dog at the bow of the boat, enjoying the breeze, with laughter on her face. I bet she would’ve enjoyed a golf cart as well. We’ve joked about a side car for Nox on the motorcycle.
