October 21, 2022
On October 14 (last Friday), we decided to explore the area a bit since the rain had stopped.
I found a local park that wasn’t to far from Victoria Campground.
When we got there, we found a small gravel parking lot, closed toilets, a pavilion, and a playground. A temporary toilet had been brought in next to the closed toilets.

We took the trail just past the toilets. It crossed a creek. The trails crossed over the creeks and ran alongside the creeks in several places.

Nox enjoyed walking along this trail. Her fur collected leaves as she trotted alongside Bruce.

The park is surrounded by houses. You can see them through the trees on some parts of the trail.
There were several covered picnic tables in the woods, as well as an amphitheater.

We found signs of children turning the woods into a fairyland.

The trail is a loop in a couple of places and when we made it back to the parking lot, I realized there was a map, just off the parking lot, on the left side of the parking lot.

It was a fun walk and Nox enjoyed it very much. She wasn’t as happy about us removing the leaves from her fur once we got back to the truck.
How fun those little decorations are!
