On Wednesday (October 5th), the repairman came back out to repair our convection microwave oven.
He brought a replacement control board, thermostat, and wiring. It didn’t take the repairman to fix the problem. Bruce and the repairman ran the convection oven for 5 minutes. After the repairman left, Bruce ran it for 20 minutes, as that was how long it took for the melting to start.
The convection microwave oven has been put back in place, but we are waiting to put in the surrounding trim.
So far, we haven’t had any problems with the microwave. I look forward to trying out the convection oven.
The positive is that Samsung paid for the repair.
