Our friend who was camping near us, wanted to see High Falls. We were happy to take him on another outing.
We walked Nox before we headed out. In the truck.

On the way to the campground, we saw deer.

When we got to High Falls, we discovered they closed at six, so we didn’t have a lot of time.
The water level was way down.

Our friend said it was a place he would enjoy coming back to and to do so hiking. It is a nice day trip for him.
Bruce drove to James Bar-BQ restaurant & Catering in Geraldine, AL. The food was good. The pulled pork sandwich was a little like carnitas.
Once we were done eating, Bruce drove back to Lake Guntersville State Park to drop off our friend. Then he drove back to the RV.
Nox was excited to see us!
Scary to see the water level.

They just stood there eating and occasionally looking at us. They were gone when we drove past on our out.

Julia, would you like to submit a story and a recipe for my holiday edition? I think an on the road holiday story and recipe would be great.
