Smokey Sunrise from I-225

We have a lot of smoke in the Denver area the last couple of weeks. The sunrises have been stunning as we leave the RV in the morning to head across town. The sun is a red-orange ball slowly rising in the east.

Second Home Meets First Home

March 4, 2021 We have made it back to Golden, Colorado! We are now parked along the side of the house, blocking part of the driveway. There was a stunning sunrise this morning and the blue skies we had most of the way, have turned to grey. We left the campground just after 8 AM […]

Back into Colorado

March 3, 2021 We’ve made it across the plains of Kansas and are now in the plains of Colorado. I-70 is a mess after Burlington. I am being shaken (not stirred) as we bounce down the road. We have stopped at a KOA for the night outside of Denver just as it was getting dark. […]

The Second Day of Towing

March 2, 2021 The campground was beautiful this morning as we tried to leave as quietly as possible at 6:40 AM. We walked around the campground a little bit. It was a pretty place. We used Allstays to figure out were to get fuel and to see when rest stops were coming up. We are […]

A Bunch of Firsts

March 2, 2021 Yesterday had several firsts for us. Pulling a 5th wheel Getting fuel with the camper attached Stopping at rest stops with the camper Having the driver side of the camper meet some tree branches and get scratched 😒 (we think it happened at the first rest area) Staying in our new home […]

Getting Hitched

March 1, 2021 The hitch wasn’t high enough, so the guys at Couch’s RV Nation adjusted the hitch with Bruce helping. We did a quick walk through the RV and got the camera display and the tire pressure monitor system from inside the RV. The tech from Couch’s helped us get the camera display working. […]

Ohio, Here We Are

February 28. 2021 We have reached the hotel we are staying in and have had a late lunch or maybe an early dinner. Bruce saw a Popeyes Chicken just down the road from the hotel and that is what he wanted. We did walk about a 1/2 block to it. It felt good to move […]

Onwards into Indiana

February 28, 2021 We are currently cruising through Indiana. It is foggy with some light rain. On the west side of I-70, we keep seeing new RVs going to their new homes. Indiana is where most RVs in the US are made. We are now one I-74 heading to Ohio. It is very flat fields, […]

On Through Foggy Illinois

February 28, 2021 The last bit of Missouri was wet and foggy this morning. We couldn’t see either the Missouri River or the Mississippi River due to fog. In parts of I-70 in Illinois is very rough and there a lot of bumps. The entire truck is bounces up. I am really not looking forward […]

Splashing Through Missouri

February 27, 2021 We are stopping for the night in Saint Peters just outside of Saint Louis. Here are some rather pictures, some better than others! In Missouri, it started raining on us on and off and then constantly for the last 45 minutes of the drive. We’ve made it 840 miles in one day.
