November 10, 2025
Saturday (November 8) morning, we got up early and got dressed. While Bruce put the last few items in his suitcase, I walked Nox.

Bruce checked his e-mail and saw his flight was still scheduled. Nox was sleepy and was happy to curl back up. She was snoring when we left for the Huntsville, AL Airport at 7:00 AM.
Bruce drove to the airport, he said good-bye, and headed inside the airport. I climbed into the driver’s seat of Cliff the Big Red Truck and headed home. I arrived at home to Nox crying. It was pitiful. I was afraid she had hurt herself. I picked her up and held her. She seemed to want me to take her outside. She needed to poop! Once she pooped, she was as happy as could be! I was relieved. I gave Nox her morning pills.
I felt so sleepy and decided to lie down for a little bit. I woke up at 11:30 AM to Bruce’s text letting me know he had arrived at DFW for the first leg of his trip. I had a much-needed nap.
Bruce texted me to let me know he was boarding his plane to Denver. When he arrived, he texted me. The Uber picked him up and drove him to U-Haul in Golden, CO. After he picked up the U-Haul truck, he drove to the hotel and got checked in. I got a phone call then. He was so relieved that everything went well.
On Sunday morning (November 9), Bruce met the movers and they got the hutch loaded. Once the truck was loaded, Bruce stopped at the office to cancel the storage unit. Then he started home from Golden, CO.

He texted me at the gas and rest stops. He called once he stopped for the night just past Topeka, Kansas. He provided me with an update on his dad. His dad was doing PT and feeling a lot better. My FIL had even sat up in a recliner.
Today (November 10), Bruce texted me that he had eaten breakfast and was about to drive home. He said to watch him on the Life360 app. It was fun watching him travel the smaller roads. Life360 showed him at the bottom of the driveway and when I looked out the window, there he was!
Yay! Bruce is home!
It was great to have the beginning and ending of the trip in one post.

I thought it would be fun to do it that way.

With all I’ve seen about air travel recently, I’m happy the flights went smoothly!

Good to hear that he made it home. This post brings back memories of moves we’ve made using a U-haul.

Once we could no longer put everything we owned in the backseat of a car, we made all but one move with U-Haul. It is a great system.
