October 17, 2025
On October 15, we had someone express interest in the RV and he wanted to come see it on Monday (October 13).
We agreed to show the RV.
On Saturday (October 11), I checked on the red pineapple.

I spotted a grey praying mantis on the side of the house.

As we headed over to the RV to wash it, Bruce stopped short of end of the driveway. He pointed out the results of a job he did yesterday. We had a large stump hole with tall grass growing around it. Bruce pulled up the flags, chopped down the grass, and filled the hole with dirt. He mowed it to even up the grass around the edge of the hole.

When we reached the RV, Bruce started cleaning out the gutters. He had me extend the awnings a little bit so he could sweep them to remove any debris that got on top of the metal awning covering.

I cleaned around the storage doors. I was surprised at how dirty the edges were. I also washed the inside of the doors.

Using the Aero washing kit, I washed the utility side of the RV, the nose cap (front) of the RV, and the back of the RV. I was worn out. This type of work really bothers Bruce’s right shoulder, so I do all of it.
I climbed up on the step ladder we brought and cleaned out the dryer vent opening. The lent had built up enough that it was holding the vent flap open. The lent had gotten wet while I washed the utility side. The wet lent was a nasty, yucky mess.
While I washed the RV, Bruce vacuumed the front basement and the back basement. He reattached a couple of pieces of trim in the basement. He washed the front storage compartment.
Sunday morning (October 12), we got up early and took Nox outside. She found some shade to hang out in. Once Nox finished her various stops, we put her inside.

Bruce and I headed over to the RV in the morning, so I could wash the camping side while it was in the shade.
Bruce cleaned inside while I washed the camping side.
After washing the camping side of the RV, I did some more cleaning on the nose cap, the back, and the utility side.

While I was cleaning the outside of the RV, I noticed a toad and a butterfly.

We took a look around the inside to make sure it all looked good and then we headed home.
Walking around the yard, we saw a hawk soaring in the brilliant blue sky.

The sunset was a golden glow in the West.

Unfortunately, on Monday (October 13), our prospective buyer let us know he had to rush his wife to the hospital due to a medical emergency. On Wednesday (October 15), he let us know that due to a change in circumstances, he wouldn’t be able to buy the RV. With all that was going on in his life, I appreciated that he took time to update us.
Oh no! I hope the man’s wife will be OK. On the plus side, the RV is ready for any new buyers.

I had to wash my car today. The pollen was disgustingly thick, and now I’m having allergy issues. Hope cleaning the RV didn’t do the same to y’all!

I feel bad for you. Bruce and I have been having allergy issues for the last two weeks. I am not sure what kicked it off.

Our hearts go out to them.
Thanks! It was so much work getting that 45’ RV washed. I wanted it to be spotless.

Too bad that person is no longer a candidate for the RV, but yes, nice that he updated you on his situation. The red pineapple is looking very pretty!
