Nox remembers my father-in-law and his house. She likes getting pets from him.
Here she is at the house.

Here’s Nox at the beach!

We walked to the beach with Nox zipped in the backpack, with her head sticking up through the head hole.
She leaned her head over the edge of the head hole, making awful “gack” sounds as she pressed her throat against the edge of the hole.
Bruce put her head more in the backpack in hopes Nox would stop hanging her head out and choking on the edge. That didn’t last long! Nox wiggled her head back out and once again, hung her head out. She started the “hacking” again. We took Nox out of the backpack and let her walk. She really didn’t want to walk far, so Bruce and I took turns carrying her and letting her walk on the beach. Nox wanted back into the backpack, so I tried something different.
I put Nox in the backpack without zipping it up. I attached her harness to the strap inside the backpack, so she couldn’t fall or jump out. That worked for a while. Even with a large hole and lots of room, she still decided to press her throat to the edge.
On the way back to the house, we let her out on the grass to do Nox things, which involved lots of sniffing. Bruce carried her the rest of the way back in his arms.
Nox was exhausted, so she took a nap as soon as she got home.
She’s full of personality. She just doesn’t want to miss anything. 🙂
