Yesterday, I planted bunching onions seeds and fennel seeds. I also moved several medium sized branches that came down in the high winds to the dead hedge.
I mulched the strawberries and onion plants.

While I was getting leaves and pine straw to mulch the strawberries, I noticed this violet blooming.

I walked down to the mailbox and Nox started following me. She was walking slowly and when she realized I was walking back, Nox sat down and waited for me.

When I got up the hill, I noticed a large number of bluets.

Bruce removed a chain that a tree was growing around. We don’t know if the tree is dead or not.

It was a busy day.
It rained during the night.
Today, Bruce went to the kitchen to make his breakfast. He came back to the bedroom to let me know we had a package on the porch that said heavy.
I knew it was my space saving rotating bookshelf! After eating breakfast, I assembled it.

After I put the bookcase together, Bruce wanted to go cut down some hanging and dead branches.

This took a lot of time and there are still bits hanging down.
I moved the branches as they came down.

I noticed this plant.

After supper, I unpacked boxes of books. I was thrilled to see my cookbooks. Cookbooks that were gifts had happy memories surfacing.
My favorite cookbooks feel like friends. They have reliable recipes and are fun. I can flip through them and enjoy the pictures or read the recipes. I can also virtually visit places by making a particular cuisine for a meal.
I also put my two recipe boxes on a shelf. One box is full of recipes I saved and the other one is from my Great-Aunt Hazel. Seeing her handwritten recipes made my heart ache a little.

We saved more books than I realized. After filling up the bookcase, I made a couple of stacks of books on the floor. I am considering getting another one of these spinning bookcases.
After unpacking all the boxes of books, I felt I made great progress with getting more settled in.
When Bruce and I took Nox out tonight for her walk, we heard coyotes howling and yipping. Nox just ignored them and carried on with her business.
For my blogging friend Meg of yarnsfromthelake.com, I thought you might enjoy seeing this blanket from the Woolen Mills of Ireland. Maybe I should unfold it for another picture?

It was an expensive purchase at the time. I love the colors of the blanket. It has blue, green cream, tan and a light purple. It reminds me of the purple heather we saw blooming in Ireland.
I really don’t like the time change. It has gotten late without me realizing it.
What a cool bookshelf! Where did you find it?
Hmm, it looks like the only thing missing from your house is a bit of artwork on the walls. (You’d better get busy drawing/painting!) 😆

I found it on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0C9T6DGWP?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title
Our art is still in boxes. Bruce and I were talking about putting up our art last night. I told him I would need to open up the boxes and put the art out to see it to get an idea if it fits were I am planning to put it.

I love the feeling of accomplishment, too, but I’m not willing to work hard to get it.

Haha! I somehow don’t believe that. You do your walk to the mailbox in all sorts of weather.

You are welcome. Would you like me to take a picture of it unfolded so you can see the whole blanket?

I like how observant you are of little surprises like a violet or other signs of spring.
