On Friday (February 28), we decided to go out for breakfast and then stop at Walmart to pick up my prescriptions.
We had breakfast at the Box Car Cafe in Sheffield, Alabama. It was eleven miles from the house and a short distance from Walmart. They got good reviews. I had a sausage biscuit and was very happy with how good it was. Bruce had chicken fried steak and a biscuit. It was very good Southern home style cooking. I loved the train decorations.

We stopped at Walmart on the way home and I picked up my prescriptions. Outside of Walmart, a food truck was selling kolaches. I got a blueberry kolache and Bruce got a strawberry one. They were delicious!
After we got home, we were lazy for a bit to allow our food to digest. Once our food digested, we started unloading Cliff the Big Red Truck.
So many boxes! I was surprised at just how many boxes were in the truck. We had packed it absolutely full!

Nox had to inspect all the work.

Once we finished unloading Cliff the Big Red Truck, we decided to walk around Blackberry Homestead.
As we were looking around the back pasture and admiring our neighbor’s sheep, we got a call from Bama Dirt. They were ready to deliver dirt!
To see the delivery truck, we sat in our rocking chairs on the front porch watching birds at the bird feeder, while Nox wondered around the frontal yard.

We were thrilled the birds had discovered the bird feeders!
I was sad to see the expected results of the two nights of 15 degrees F on our purple magnolia. I am still hopeful some of the buds are still living.

Nox got tired of walking around and wanted up, into my lap. She curled up on my lap and went to sleep.
We got tired of waiting and went inside. Nox wanted a massage from the people bed. She went to sleep very quickly.
While we were answering surveys on Bruce’s computer about our stays in hotels, from Bruce’s office window, I saw the truck carrying the dirt turning into our driveway.
I’ll write about the dirt in another post.
It is always mind boggling to realize how much stuff we have! And you have been getting along without most of it for a couple of years! I wonder if there are things that were packed away, that now you will decide you don’t need any more.

Right off, I want to get rid of the tea kettle! I love our electric tea kettle and don’t need one on the stovetop anymore.
I was looking at clothes and thinking I might not want to keep all of them. I am sure there will be more items that no longer make sense for us to keep.
Bruce is excited to have all his tools again.
