I just got a call from Roto-Rooter. The estimate is from $750 to $800. They can come out next week to get the drain plumbing sorted!
We can afford to throw money at and Bruce doesn’t have be thrown underneath the house to repair the pipes!
While I wish it could be this week, I get they have to schedule things. It isn’t a real emergency, such as water leak, so we can wait until next week.

Well, thank goodness for that! And especially that Bruce does not have to do it! While it is never fun to shell out big bucks for something done wrong in the first place (I speak from experience in our house of the last 21 years), I think when we reach a certain age, it is the wiser thing to do. I draw the line any more at crawling in attics and under houses. That is why I value plumbers and others who do skilled labor and am willing to pay them for it because I can. When we could not afford to pay, it was different to do it yourself, so I am in your corner on this one!

Oh, yes. A good plumber and electrician are worth the cost. I appreciate the Roto-Rooter plumber explanation of the problem and that he showed me pictures and the correct fittings.
