I realized I mentioned a list I am using for the move to the house. Here is the list.
Things to After House Purchase
- Get insurance – enough to rebuild house
- Have electric utilities transferred to us
- Have water utilities transferred to us
- Sign up for garbage pickup
- Move motorcycle to house
- Go to courthouse and get homestead exemption
- Find out when utility bill comes
- Set up auto pay for utility bill
- Move items from RV basements to house
- Move clothes from RV to House
- Get RV a spot for 2 months
- Get plumber to fix crawl space plumbing issues
- Have plumber remove gas pipe coming in from floor
- Order bed from Nector
- Order desk from Amazon
- Find movers
- Get furniture moved (October 16)
- Buy mailbox and post
- Install new mailbox
- Close out safe deposit boxes in Colorado (Oct 15)
- Buy refrigerator
- Buy stove
- Buy dishwasher
- Buy convection microwave
- Buy washer and dryer
- Buy Window treatments
- Find interior decorator to help arrange furniture
- Find wooden flooring to fix floor edges
- Set up electronic layout of house
- Set up electronic layout of property
- Go to Florida and close safe deposit box there.
- Get Alabama driver’s licenses
- Register truck, motorcycle and trailer
- Get serial number for GE appliances and look them up
- Let Donna know prices of GE appliances
- Get new front door
- Buy motorcycle garage
- Buy cleaning supplied
- Buy soap dispenser
- Take hand towels to house
- Buy shower door
- Soil test kit
- Change mail address
- Buy New vacuum
- Fire alarms
- Send thank you to Donna
- Floor boards 2 1/4 wide 3/4 depth
- 13/16 OD of sink dishwasher drain
- Pull up poison ivy
This list gets updated frequently. I am keeping it on my phone. I add new items as they occur to me and a check off items as they are completed.

I’ve made a lot of progress on this list. When I copied over the list, the items that were checked did show as done.

I’m busy from the time I get up, yet I manage to get nothing done. 😆. You are a good worker!

Some days it doesn’t feel like I’ve accomplished anything. Writing it all down makes me feel like I made progress.
