The Florence AL RV Park couldn’t reserve one spot for us for two months. They worked with us and got us a spot for eight nights. Then we could move in the park to another site for the rest of the two months.
This morning, we moved sites. We moved from our old site and into our new site. It was a lot of work just to move 200 or so feet. We are on the opposite side of the dog park. Our new site has a picnic table.
After getting the RV set up, we ate a very late lunch. We walked Nox, so she could familiarize herself with the new spot we were in.
We left Nox at the RV and headed to Home Depot and Lowe’s. Bruce wanted a sledgehammer to pound the spike base for the mailbox post. We also looked at refrigerators. We found a few we liked. Bruce also discovered that Lowe’s has a scratch and dent in Huntsville, Alabama.
I found a nice three step step-stool. Here is the new step stool in comparison to our old step stool. Notice the hail damage to the old stool. It was in the back of the truck when the Kanas hail storm hit us.

After wondering around the big box stores, we headed to the house.
Here is the pictures of the cabbage plants.

Bruce found another mouse in one of the traps. He disposed of it and reset the trap.
We walked around the back pasture and Bruce started to drain another half barrel. We stopped by the half barrel with the tadpoles and admired them. We walked all the way to the back fence to the persimmon trees (American) and found some ripe ones. Yummy!
Bruce pounded the mailbox post holder spike into the ground. He wants to bring the level to the house so he can make sure the post is level.
I walked around and took some pictures of the wildflowers, mushrooms, and the dread poison ivy.

I also took a picture of the creek that cuts through a corner of our property by the driveway.

We do have fire ants and I managed to step in a nest. My shoe took the brunt of their attack. Bruce helped me get the ants off the shoe. I was lucky, I only got bitten once.

This was a plant that was sent to the funeral home for my mom’s funeral. We got three of these plants, so each of took one. Several people sent peace lilies, but they were from friends of my nieces and nephews. It didn’t feel right to take them.

I took some pictures of our small tree out front. It is either some type of magnolia or an Alabama croton shrub. It would be cool if it is an Alabama croton since they are considered Vulnerable by NatureServe.

I liked the shadows on the living room wall. The curved metal post shadows looked beautiful to me.

We stopped on the way back to the RV to eat dinner at the River Bottom Grille. Walking back to the truck, Bruce noticed that Venus was in conjunction with the moon in the sunset. We walked along the marina walkway and I was able to get this picture of the moon and Venus over the Tennessee River.

We woke Nox when we stepped inside the RV. She was happy to see us.
We took her out for a walk and once back inside, she proceeded to eat all the food in her dog food bowl.
Glad you had a productive day.

Sounds like a perfect day! (Well, except for the fire ants. 😂)

Things are moving right along. The trees look great as well as the cabbage plants. The plant from your mother’s funeral is a nice mommento.

I am excited to have trees again. We have magnificent oak in front, as well as several beautiful pines. We also have two trees that I believe are pecan trees. They don’t have any pecans, so I am not 100% sure they are pecans. We have more oaks and pines in the back.

Nice photos, especially of the shadows with the curlicues, and the sunset photo.
