On Friday (September 6), we packed up the RV and moved all of 10 miles, across the Tennessee River, to McFarland Campground in Florence, AL.
We couldn’t renew our spot at Heritage Acres and if we stayed there, we’d have to move to a more expensive spot, $15 more.
We looked around and discovered McFarland Park. It is a city park with a campground on the Tennessee River. It is absolutely gorgeous here.
The roads are very tight for big rigs and we didn’t get the RV lined up straight on the site. After some attempts to straighten up, we said good enough and unhitched.

We have enjoyed walks along the river and Nox has enjoyed doing Nox things and being carried.
You are on the pad – that’s better than a lot of people do!

I was guiding Bruce to avoid the water spigot and the power box. He had to back up to avoid the water spigot and just missed the power box. Ugh! 😬 He did some additional adjustments and decided we were out of the road, it was okay.

That looks like a really nice park…and you are parked just fine, so what if you are a bit off!
