Moving to Heritage Acres RV Park in Tuscumbia, Alabama

August 11, 2024

We rolled out of Hinton RV Park on Friday morning, just before 9:00 AM.

We headed south on I-55, stopping to fuel up off Exit 58. We drove past farm fields, ponds/lakes and a rest stop.

Nox zonked out very quickly after we got diesel.

Sleeping Nox

We headed east on I-155. Mowers were busy mowing alongside the interstate.

We crossed the Mississippi River into Tennessee.

We stopped at the Tennessee Welcome Center and it was a very good thing we stopped. The rear landing leg on the utilities side (driver’s side) had come partially down.

Bruce used the controls to raise the landing leg while I watched. After it was raised he pushed on it to see if it would come down. It didn’t move.

We set out from the welcome center. Just outside Dyersburg, TN, Bruce pulled the rig onto the shoulder to make sure the landing gear was all properly up. Everything was good! No dropped legs!

At Dyersburg, we left I-155 and took US 412 south. There was more roadwork along the way and mowing.

In Jackson, TN we passed the Tennessee Supreme Court Building. My picture had a lot of reflections from the truck window, please excuse the reflections.

We headed south on US 45 into Mississippi.

In Corinth, MS, we turned east onto US 72. We crossed over the Tombigbee Waterway. This picture has more reflections. I was wearing a red shirt.

We crossed into Alabama.

We drove along US 72, turning onto Neil Morris RD for the last 1000 feet to the RV Park.

I had a bowl break in the dish drawer. Considering it has been three years, we’ve done better than breakage at our former house.

Nox enjoyed getting to explore a new place.
