Yesterday, when we got up, we headed over to Grow2Gather on the other side of Wood Hat Spirts.
The weather was still cloudy and 67 degrees F.
I slowly walked Nox over to Grow2Gather, while Bruce went in to find out if having Nox on the patio would be okay. They said it would, so Bruce waited for us at the gate. Bruce told me it was okay to have Nox on the patio.
We got seated, then Bruce went in and grabbed a menu. Told Bruce I wanted sausage and hash browns from the sides. Bruce went inside and placed our orders. Bruce ordered an omelette. It was a puffy omelette, not a French style omelette.
While waiting for our food, I went inside to see what items they had in their shop.

I didn’t take any pictures of the eating area, since it was full of diners.
A waitress brought our food out and admired Nox. The food was delicious.
I received a call from Katy who works at Wood Hat Sprits to let us know Gary (the owner) was running late.
She called back about 10 minutes later to let us know there was a breakfast place right next door. I thanked her and said we were sitting outside enjoying breakfast. She laughed and said, “I’m glad you discovered it.”
After breakfast, we started walking back to the RV. Still in the lot of Grow2Gather, a gentleman waved at us and started walking over. We stopped to see what he wanted. He wanted to pet Nox. Nox was gracious enough to enjoy his petting her.
We chatted for a while. The gentleman does the cutting the wood for the products being sold, while the ladies sand and paint them.
He recommended going and seeing Herman, Missouri, if we had time. It is a German settler community. We thanked him for his recommendation. He said goodbye and we continued walking back to the RV.
We saw Katy getting ready to unlock the doors to Wood Hat Spirts. She said she’s be happy to let us into the tasting room.
We walked back to the RV and got it most of the way ready to leave. With the cool weather, the RV was nice and comfortable, so we left Nox in the RV as we went to taste spirts.
The tasting room was fun to see.

Bruce asked for very small tastes since he was going to be driving. Katy obliged.
Katy discussed the different types of bourbon they made with different types of corn. They grow their own corn and buy corn from local farmers.
They also had bourbon barrel aged honey out for tasting. It was delicious, but since we have so much honey from our trip in Golden, we didn’t buy any honey.
Gary arrived as Bruce was tasting bourbon. Gary said hi and chatted with us for a bit. Gary had to take a call, so he didn’t stay long.
Bruce enjoyed the tasting so much that he purchased two bottles of bourbon.
We headed back to the RV and Bruce stored the bourbon.
I put Nox in the truck and we finished up with the RV. It was time to roll on down the road.
Julia, You two find very interesting places to visit!! Love, Howard
