Bruce wanted to pick up a rye whiskey from Downslope Distillery. On Facebook, he saw that Downslope Distillery would be at some of the Farmer’s Markets.
He picked the Farmer’s Market at Highlands Square in Denver on Sunday as the one to visit.
It was a bustling street fair, with lots of different foods, drinks, early produce and beautiful mushrooms.

We enjoyed walking up and down the street to see the various booths. Bruce was looking for the Downslope Distillery’s booth. We walked right past it without noticing it.
After we reached the end of the fair, we turned around and started walking back. When we got to the help tent, set up in the middle of the street, I asked for directions.
One of the volunteers provided directions. The directions were slightly off, but we found the Downslope Distillery tent. Bruce happily bought their new rye whiskey.
We bought lunch from the German tent food vendor. The food was delicious!
I wanted mushrooms from one of the mushroom farmers.
After buying the mushrooms, we headed back to the motorcycle.

The mushrooms looked like a bouquet. The bowl contained Lion’s Mane mushrooms, Golden Oyster Mushrooms, Oyster Mushrooms, Black Pearl Mushrooms and King Oyster Mushrooms.

The mushrooms were delicious sautéed in butter!
Mmmm…how did you fix the mushrooms? they look delicious!
I’ve noticed that our local festival that used to have a lot of craft booths now mostly has vendors from breweries and vintners. Did you notice that where you were?

I didn’t see many breweries and vintners. I did see a couple of booths for breweries. There were a lot more food booths than I was expecting and not a lot of craft booths.

That makes it hard to choose just one place for lunch. 😊

We grabbed spring rolls as an appetizer at one booth and lunch at a German booth.

I sliced them up and sautéed them in butter with a sprinkle of salt. They were delicious!
