Nox’s paw is still not fully healed, but we can clearly see improvement. She is now able to walk comfortably on her foot. Nox is no longer desperate to lick her foot and can go without the cone of shame or a bandage while we are around.
We are still putting the cone of shame on her at night and when we are away, since we can’t watch her then.
In the picture below, you can see the damage to her paw. Her paw pads should be solid black, instead she has pink patches from the damage to to her paw pads.

I am so glad she is feeling better and healing! She looks quite peaceful lying there.

One of the ways we can tell Nox is feeling better is her activity level. She is a lot more active, then she just zonks out.

Not that you wish your baby hurt, but it is nice to get to carry her and snuggle her more. 😊

Nox does seem to enjoy being held and snuggled. The vet even mentioned that Nox was clearly used to being handled.
