The other day, I made pigs in blankets and to serve with them, I made this sweet and spicy hot mustard sauce. It was rather spicy, so you can use a different hot sauce. Bruce even enjoyed this sauce as a salad dressing. It seems he now has new favorite dipping sauce.
This recipe is a modification of a recipe I found online, but can no longer find to give credit where credit is due.
Serves 8
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 3 tablespoons of prepared mustard, if I had Dijon mustard I would’ve used it
- 1 tablespoon of Tabasco(TM) Scorpion Sauce
- 2 tablespoons of Tabasco (TM) Sauce
- 1 heaping tablespoon of honey
- Pinch of salt
Tools:
Small bowl and whisk
Instructions
- Put all the ingredients in a small bowl and whisk together until evenly blended.
Notes:
This tasted great with French’s yellow mustard.
It drizzled nicely over the pigs in blankets.
The original recipe called for Frank’s Hot Sauce instead of Tabasco.
This sauce would be great on hot dogs.

I love this and will have to give it a try (making do with various hot sauces in the fridge). These would be perfect to bring along on our hikes!

Let me know what you think about it. Bruce wants more; he ate the leftover as a salad dressing. 🥗
