November 6, 2023
On November 4 (Saturday), before Bruce crawled up under the RV and discovered the brake issue, we rode the motorcycle to Ridgeway to enjoy the Pig on the Ridge Festival.
We parked alongside a side street and walked to downtown.
Booths were set up along the Cotton Yard (name leftover from when cotton was weighed there) and along the railroad tracks.
When we got there just after noon, we discovered to our great dismay most of the team BBQ (competitors in the BBQ competition) were sold out. We didn’t manage to get any of the competition BBQ.
We did look at the food and arts and crafts booths, but didn’t buy anything.

They also had a car show.

Realizing we weren’t going to get any team BBQ, we head to the Olde Town Hall Restaurant. I ordered a hamburger and Bruce ordered their special. It included pulled pork, pork belly rib (he claimed it was sublime), mac & cheese, coleslaw, and excellent BBQ beans. Once again, everything Bruce had was excellent (I snuck a few tastes of his food, just to confirm.), but my experience was not as good. The hamburger was good and the fries looked delicious. Unfortunately, the fries were limp, without any crispness.
Bruce refrained from eating all his food and asked for a box to go, which they happily provided.
As we headed back to the motorcycle, I took some pictures of the outside of the tea shop.

We then rode home.
After letting his food digest, Bruce crawled under the RV and discovered the brake issue.
I’m hungry just reading this post!
