As we walked around Wytheville, VA on September 30th, I wanted to stop inside the pottery shop. The outside was interesting and I wanted to see if it was an actual log house. It was!
The owner of the shop told us it had been two small log buildings built for housing miners by a mining company. Later, the two buildings were combined into one building.

Bruce asked the owner if she got to choose her address, since the street number was 420. She chuckled and said, “no.”
She was happy to let me take pictures and asked that I tag her site, http://www.laurelcreekpottery.com.

I loved the small items she had. The buttons and beads were beautiful to me. (I’ll admit, it was all beautiful, I just happened to be especially charmed by the buttons and beads.)
That was worth a stop! I enjoyed all of it, and the buttons were very pretty. You did a nice job of displaying the store!

Thank you! I was charmed by the store and the history behind the building. I felt sad looking at the yarn bowls for knitting as it reminded me of how much my deceased mother-in-law loved to knit. I would’ve bought one of the yarn bowls for her.

I like the buttons and beads too! And the special bowls for knitting. I have never had one of those, but maybe someday I will get one.

The bowl looked really useful and I could imagine a kitten sleeping in the yarn.

And if you’d indulged in fabric, you’d have an excuse to put buttons on it!
